Derek Wiley Agency Media Release Agreement
Effective date: July 30, 2026
By signing the Derek Wiley Agency Media Release form, I agree to the following:
Permission to Record and Use
I authorize Derek Wiley Agency, Inc. and its employees, contractors, agents, successors, licensees, and service providers (“DWA”) to photograph, film, and/or audio record me in connection with my testimonial or other recorded participation.
I grant DWA a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, display, distribute, and create derivative works from my name, image, likeness, voice, appearance, statements, and recorded testimonial (collectively, the “Materials”). DWA may use the Materials, in whole or in part, in any lawful media, including websites, social media, digital advertising, video platforms, email, presentations, and other promotional, educational, or informational materials.
Editing and Approval
I understand that DWA may edit the Materials for length, clarity, format, or presentation, provided the editing does not intentionally misrepresent the substance of my statements. I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished Materials or the specific context in which they are used.
Compensation and Ownership
Unless DWA and I agree otherwise in writing, I understand that I will not receive payment, royalties, or other compensation for the recording or use of the Materials. DWA will own the recordings and finished materials it creates.
Release of Claims
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release DWA from claims arising from the authorized recording, editing, publication, or use of the Materials, including claims based on rights of privacy, publicity, or approval. This release does not authorize unlawful use or an intentional material misrepresentation of my statements.
Participant Statements
I confirm that:
- I am at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to sign this agreement.
- My testimonial reflects my honest opinions and experience.
- I will not knowingly disclose another person’s private or confidential information in the recording.
- I have read and understand this Media Release Agreement and agree that my electronic signature is binding.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
